Concord Road Equipment (CRE), an industry leader for providing a comprehensive range of products and services to state and municipal markets throughout Ohio. CRE is registered with the Federal NHTSA as an Intermediate and Final Stage Manufacturer of Incomplete Commercial Truck Chassis.
We are growing and have an exciting opportunity for Installation Technicians to join our team of experts. In this role you will be part of an organization that supports many industries, a large customer base and is committed to the development of our team.
What will you do:
- Determine the best location for system components installation on vehicle chassis’ and route accordingly.
- Prepare wiring for installation by assembling required harnesses.
- Install and make functional 12-volt electronically controlled accessories, components, fuses, lighting, etc. on vehicle chassis’ in accordance with company and customer requirements.
- Connect to chassis manufacturer electronic system by splicing wires or attaching to existing OEM connection components.
- Prepare hydraulic hoses by cutting them to length and installing appropriate couplers or fittings.
- Install and make functional hydraulic fluid-controlled accessories, components, hoses, valves, pumps, tanks, etc. on vehicle chassis’ in accordance with company and customer requirements.
- Modify chassis manufacturer components if necessary.
- Test installed systems for proper function.
- Tie-up and shield installed components in accordance with company standards.
- Read, comprehend and apply technical information contained in third-party manufacturer manuals or company technical build documents.
- Maintain written records of installation or repair work to track activities ensuring work is fully documented.
- Work in a safe manner following company safety requirements which include wearing personal protective equipment, completing maintenance requests, and communicating potential hazards to co-workers and supervision.
- Organize and perform work in a timely and productive manner at a pace that ensures completion will be within the time specified by the customer and agreed upon by the company.
- Comply with methods, policies, procedures or protocols established by company management and directives communicated by supervisors.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
What you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational, trade or technical school training preferred
- Knowledge of vehicle mechanics including 12-volt electrical and fluid-controlled systems
- Must provide applicable hand, air, and power tools
- Willingness to work overtime as required
- Forklift operation experience preferred
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Standing, Walking, and Sitting for an extended period of time.
- Mobility and dexterity to move around operating machinery and powered industrial equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to operate power tools and vibrating equipment.
- Ability to work on site to physically support manufacturing requirements.
