Scheduler, Student Information Systems, and Data Specialist

Concord-Carlisle High School is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative professional to manage the schools master schedule and data integrity. This role is critical in ensuring that our educational vision translates into a functional daily reality for students and staff. The candidate will have excellent data management skills.The ideal candidate is an expert in the Aspen Student Information System and possesses the unique ability to balance complex logic puzzles with the interpersonal skills needed to support faculty and administration.Key Responsibilities: Master Schedule Development: Assist administration in the annual construction of the master schedule, ensuring optimal use of time, space, and staff resources while prioritizing student course requests.Course & Section Management: Perform all technical entries for creating, modifying, and deleting courses and sections within Aspen. Manage the student scheduling process used by counselors, teachers, department heads, and administrators to support students.Data Management and Integrity: Maintain accurate student records, including enrollment, withdrawals, and transcript updates.State Reporting: Assist with the preparation and submission of state-mandated data reports (e.g., SIMS, SCS, EPIMS), ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance with Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) standards.System Optimization: Serve as the building-level expert for Aspen, troubleshooting scheduling conflicts and providing internal support/training for staff on SIS workflows.Standardized Test Coordination: Support with operations and logistics around standardized tests.Collaboration: Work closely with Information Technology Specialists, Department Chairs, and the Guidance Department to identify and resolve database needs, eliminate scheduling bottlenecks, and manage class size balances.State Reporting: Assist with the preparation and submission of state-mandated data reportsNew Student Registration: Manage new student registration and the development of a students scheduleData Support and Analysis: fulfill data requests from internal and external sources by extracting data from internal databases, sit on various committees to offer data analysis support.Other Duties: Complete other duties as assigned by the Principal, Assistant Principal, or Central Office AdministratorQualifications & Skills: Aspen Proficiency (Required): Advanced, hands-on experience with the Follett Aspen SIS, specifically the scheduling engine and secondary school modules.Analytical Thinking: Ability to visualize and solve complex "scheduling puzzles" involving multiple variables and constraints.Technical Accuracy: High level of precision in data entry and a detailed eye for spotting data discrepancies.Communication: Ability to explain technical scheduling constraints to non-technical stakeholders with clarity and patience, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive informationSoftware: Solid computer proficiency, particularly with spreadsheets and database programs, familiarity with pivot tables, experience with Excel and Google SheetsProject Management: Strong analytical and project management skills, as well as an attention to detailLocation: Concord-Carlisle High SchoolReports To: Principal / Assistant Principal Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000Calendar: 12-month position
