What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concord Middle School Administrative Assistant position at Concord Middle School?
This position starts on December 15 and is available for the rest of 2025/2026 school year and beyond. The administrative assistant provides support to the CMS faculty and acts as a liaison with the parent community. The administrative assistant possesses excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and technical skills, and mutli- tasks with skill and efficiency. S/he works closely with counseling and special education staff as well as administration to ensure that student needs are met related to parent-teacher meetings, student reporting, and the transition in and out of middle school.
Pay-rate is between $28.59 and $33.39 an hour.
The administrative assistant:
- Composes responses to or redirects routine correspondence from parents to the CMS faculty and administration.
- Retrieves, responds to and/or redirects telephone calls, email, and voice mail messages as needed.
- Respects the confidentiality of the school community; handles all matters flowing through the office with discretion.
- Demonstrates initiative in examining current practices and suggesting change and improvements as appropriate.
- Uses technology effectively to schedule meetings, coordinate personnel and calendars, prepare special education meeting documents, collate and distribute student progress reports, 5-6 and 8-9 transition and schedule information, and private school applications.
-Works collaboratively with all other support staff in getting the necessary work done effectively, efficiently, and positively.
