Director of Nursing (DON)

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all nursing services within the skilled nursing facility
- Maintain the highest standards of clinical quality and resident safety
- Support, guide, and develop nursing staff and nurse managers
- Ensure compliance with state and federal longterm care regulations
- Review incidents promptly and ensure appropriate followup
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Prepare for and participate in state inspections
- Ensure proper staffing, training, and documentation
- Serve as a visible, supportive leader focused on care excellence
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Prior DON or ADON experience preferred
- Skilled nursing/longterm care experience required
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and make sound clinical decisions
