Job Description Description Concord Group Insurance is seeking a motivated and talented Systems Engineer to join our IT department. In this role, you will install, research, design, configure, support, and maintain computer equipment, system software, and applications. The person in this role also collaborates with associates and vendors, assists with evaluating and recommending new technologies, and may assist with training and mentoring team members. Work is performed under general supervision in a manner that is consistent with standards, best practices, and procedures required by the Division. This position is considered hybrid, you must be able to work on-site and attend in-person group meetings as needed. Responsibilities Configure and maintain Windows Servers, Active Directory, and VMware virtualization technologies or equivalent. Configure and maintain Microsoft technologies, including Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint. Review project assignments with management or other team members. Accurately use tools and techniques as practiced, acquired, or adopted within the Division to successfully support systems. Provide status reports where required. Recommend and install upgrades and security patches. Address questions concerning common technical problems. Monitor system performance for potential problems and implement appropriate fixes. Develop and maintain system documentation. Create and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell. Participate in the planning, design, and peer review of group work. Interact with vendors to resolve issues occurring from the use of their products or services. Communicate and coordinate with various teams, management, and vendors to resolve problems or suggest alternatives to achieve objectives and goals. Ensure system integrity and security compliance. Conduct research on software and systems products to assist other teams in meeting the goals of a given project. Develop awareness of changing business and technology needs within the Company and how they impact existing systems. Assist with evaluating and recommending new technologies and vendor solutions for infrastructure teams. Requirements Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an equivalent job is required. BA/BS degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Self-motivated. Possess proven, demonstrated, and effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills utilizing a logical thought process. Ability to work with details, analyze information, solve problems, and communicate effectively. Ability to work outside the normal business hours, which includes independently responding to off-hour production issues. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Strong leadership and project management skills. Ability to deliver consistent performance in all job duties. Ability to successfully adjust communication approach depending on the audience. Ability to independently prioritize projects and tasks as they arise.
