Performs accurate and efficient register transactions and assists with receiving, stocking, and display of grocery products, maintains department cleanliness, and provides customer service.

A pillar of Main St., the Co-op strives to support and enhance the New Hampshire community by only stocking ethically-sourced natural foods and through positive cooperative action in-store and in the community.
Essential Job Duties
- Accept payment and accurately make change for transactions utilizing the POS system
- Ability to enter correct prices, departments, and PLUs for products
- Ability to balance cash draw at end of shift and meet over/short goal
- Invites/recruits non-member customers to become members of the Co-op
- Follow state laws and Co-op policies regarding the sale of alcohol
- Assisting customers with product questions in a friendly, courteous manner and answers/directs calls as necessary
- Facing and organizing shelves, end caps, and sale displays
- Keeping departmental shelves and display areas stocked, neat, clean, and product(s) rotated
- Always presenting self and Co-op in a professional manner
Additional Duties
- Assists in special projects, assists in other departments as needed, and performs other duties as assigned

Essential Physical Requirements
- Standing for long periods, bending, walking, reaching, and sitting
- Ability to climb up and down stepladders and stairs daily
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed throughout the day
Experience and Educational Requirements
There are no educational requirements, though grocery or natural foods experience is a plus. Must be 18 years of age or older.
