POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ANALYST
LOCATION: Concord Feed & Fuel, Pleasant Hill, CA
REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager
JOB SUMMARY:

Duties:
· Process credit and new customer applications, verify creditor’s payment history and/or run credit reports, upon approval, set up the account in EAGLE, for all lines of the company.
· Verifies and posts receivable transactions on customer accounts.
· Handle collection of past due accounts through personal contact, email, certified letters, sending accounts to collection agency. Works proactively with various intra-company departments and personnel in regards to customer collections and other customer matters.
· Process pre-lien notices, conditional and unconditional releases, finals, stop notices, and mechanic liens.
· Prepare bank deposits and change requests as a back-up
· Prepare and send month-end statements, copies of invoices and/or past due notices.
· Review A/R aging report with Controller for all divisions.
· Answers phone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
· Backup for depositing checks with bank remotely, ACH requests, credit card payments.
· Support month end close activities.
· Supports salesperson commission reporting.
· Maintains customer account files in the system; opening and updating accounts and ensuring complete and compliant records.
Maintains Employee Discount Accounts, provides Payroll with the ROA payments for payroll deductions, works with HR/Payroll when opening, updating and closing an account.
· Assists in identifying and implementing process improvements.
· Works in various software programs: EAGLE, MS Word & Excel, Google Workspace: Email, Sheets & Docs, LienWriter
Qualifications:
- AA degree and 1-2 years accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Know ten-key (adding machine) by touch.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
