We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team for our rotating 4 days a week position. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during various dental procedures and ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our dental practice.
```Duties:```
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including taking dental x-rays, passing instruments, and providing suction
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions, trimming models, and fabricating temporary crowns
```Experience:```
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix / Open dental
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and record patient information
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
