What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crisis Care Coordinator – Full-Time 3pm-11pm position at Concord Counseling Services?

This dynamic position, located within the Housing Services department, provides the opportunity to establish positive relationships with clients in Permanent Supportive Housing identify and interrupt worsening challenges that could lead to crises, and effectively intervene in crisis situations. This is a site-based, evening & weekend position that provides rapid crisis response services when other support services may be less available. The schedule for this position is 3pm – 11pm; 5 days per week including some weekend time. There is flexibility in terms of which days of the week are included in the 5 days, as long as weekends are included. This is a grant-based position.
Requirements:
Candidates must have:
- Prior crisis experience
- Knowledge of mental illness, substance use, and psychiatric symptoms
- Understanding of how to therapeutically engage a person in crisis
- Prior experience with de-escalation techniques
- Skills to identify and respond to critical situations
- Understanding of available community resources
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (or related field) preferred, Ohio Social Work or Professional Counselor license (LSW, LPC) preferred.
