Position: Music Therapist (part-time)
Concord Community Music School (CCMS) seeks a compassionate, creative part-time Music Therapist to join our growing expressive arts therapy team. This is an exciting opportunity to build a client caseload in a supportive, collaborative environment while making meaningful connections with individuals and families through music. While this is a part time position to start, there is strong potential to grow to a full time position.
About the Role
This position begins with approximately 5 client hours per week, with strong potential for growth to a full-time position within six months. Ideal candidates will enjoy working across ages and abilities, with preferred experience in early childhood and interest in leading Saturday morning group classes.
Responsibilities
• Provide individual and group music therapy sessions and adaptive music lessons
• Write timely, thoughtful clinical documentation
• Collaborate with the Director of Music Therapy and Director of Dance/Movement Therapy & Early Childhood to support clients and families
• Participate in group therapy and early childhood programming as opportunities arise
• Participate in the annual fall faculty meeting and Open House
• Explore opportunities to contribute to CCMS community initiatives and summer programs
Qualifications
• MT-BC credential preferred; applicants eligible to sit for the board exam within three months are welcome
• Demonstrated proficiency in guitar, piano, and voice; additional instruments a plus
• Experience working with individuals with diverse developmental and therapeutic needs
• Ability to provide examples of clinical documentation
• Preferred experience with early childhood populations
• Warm, professional communication style and a collaborative spirit
