Concord Carlisle High School is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant (SAA) to support the Special Education Administrator and Special Education department members.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
•Maintains respectful, honest, open, and effective communication with school staff, and parents
•Maintains respect for all school community members; accepts and respects individual and group differences about gender, language, race, sexual orientation, religion, and socioeconomic background.
•Provides a special education climate that addresses the individual needs of students in a diverse society
•Keep confidentiality regarding all aspects of special education students, families, and staff
•Support special education staff in procedures, communications, technical support, training, and setting up meetings
•Support the Special Education Administrator to help organize initial IEP and the not enrolled in district education student IEP paperwork
•Manage calendar for Special Education Administrator
•Maintain IEP paperwork for the Special Education department (consent forms, uploading documents, creating meeting invitations, booking spaces, tracking deadlines, etc…)
•Provide clerical support by fielding phone calls, writing letters as requested by the Special Education Administration
•Manage special education student files for CCHS
•Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Principals and/or their designee (District and School-based administrators)
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
•Excellent organizational, time management, communication, collaborative, and problem-solving skills
•Knowledge of Google Suite, ASPEN, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ZOOM
•Understands federal, state, and municipal special education laws and regulations affecting public education, staff, and students, including laws on discipline, disability, civil rights and responsibilities, issues of liability, and due process rights.
•Has a high competence with supporting special needs students and guiding staff who may have questions regarding the team process.
