The Health and Fitness position includes: Physical Education, Health Education, American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Instructor, and CPR Instructor at CCHS. The Health and Fitness teacher has knowledge of sports, fitness training, physical activities, lifeguard instruction, and first aid/CPR, as well as the various topics of the health sciences. The teacher instructs in physical education activities, lifeguarding skills, first aid/CPR, comprehensive health topics, nutrition, social/emotional health, and well-being.
Health and Fitness teachers ensure the physical education and health education curriculum promotes a physically active lifestyle; develops cooperation, teamwork, and sportsmanship, and healthy choices and living.
Teacher certified in Physical Education grades 9 - 12, Health Education 9-12, ARC Lifeguard Instructor certified, and First Aid/CPR Instructor certified.
