Description:
We’re seeking a freelance solar installer to complete residential solar projects from start to finish. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who works independently, communicates clearly, and delivers clean, code-compliant installations.
Ideal for a licensed freelancer or small independent contractor looking for flexible, short-term work.
Scope of Work
- Conduct site prep and confirm system layout
- Handle permitting and inspection coordination
- Source and transport materials (panels, racking, inverter, wiring)
- Perform installation: racking, wiring, panel mounting, inverter setup
- Ensure code compliance and pass final inspection
- Provide photo documentation and brief project summary
Requirements
- 3 years of residential solar installation experience
- Familiarity with Enphase or similar microinverter systems
- Familiarity with local permitting and inspection processes
- Own tools, transportation, and liability insurance
- NABCEP certification or C-46 license preferred
