Overview of the Organization: Concord AV is a collection of lighting and audio specialists who provide production and design services that emphasize innovation, precision, and audio-visual mastery. Formed by the founders of Studio RRD, and Audible Difference Inc.; Concord AV; is the exclusive vendor at the newly opened venue, Skylight at the Refinery. Together with the Skylight team, we aim to provide clients with a hyper-personalized experience, regardless of event size. Collaborating with them to bring their designs to life, provide a seamless production experience, and a lasting impact.


Job Overview:  The Client Lead will work closely with the Technical Supervisor to ensure all AV aspects of the venue, Skylight at the Refinery operate smoothly and successfully. This position will serve as the project manager and client point-person for the planning, coordination and execution of audio, lighting and video elements for all events. The ideal candidate is well versed in sales, client communication and event production with a seamless ability to ensure efficiency and client satisfaction from initial budget through the load in, show and strike. In collaboration with the Technical Supervisor the AV Project Manager will ensure every client leaves the venue with a positive association and desire to work with Concord AV in the future.  

 

Expected Qualifications:

·  Experience in all disciplines of technical production and design is welcome, whether theatrical, event, concert, broadcast, film/photography, retail, exhibit, or architectural.

·  4 - 6 years of seasoned and varied work as a project or production lead for lighting, audio, video or other technical fields in live events.

·  Successful history of working directly with client on a live-event basis, projects in the high end and luxury fields are preferred.

· Demonstrated ability and copious experience working on independent live event projects.

·  Comprehensive and evolving knowledge of lighting and audio technology and the technical systems of temporary events staging. Rigging and build knowledge is a plus.

·  Full proficiency in industry standard software tools (Vectorworks, LW, etc.), as well as cross-industry standard office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)

· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to ensure satisfaction and clarity across stakeholders.

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

· Unflappable, adaptable, and able to maintain positivity in a fast-paced environment.

· Bachelor’s Degree in Production, Lighting, Audio, or Equivalent Technical field or demonstrably relevant program preferred.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

· Serve as the main AV spokesperson and touch-point for clients on-site, ensuring to keep budget constraints, their overall vision and satisfaction in mind.

· Collaborate with the Technical Lead to assess each event’s design and production needs (lighting, sound, video, staging, labor, heavy equipment, power, production support, etc.)

· Conduct client walkthroughs alongside the Skylight Team, providing the client with a thorough understanding of the existing system’s capabilities. Identify and plan for logistical limitations and design opportunities.

· Generate client proposals in a timely fashion, keeping budgeting up to date during pre-production and onsite as needed, constantly keeping budget constraints, the client’s overall vision and satisfaction in mind.

· Communicate with clients and vendors regularly to create a schedule, define scope, and advance production needs.

· Create and refine systems and streamline processes for quoting events, client protocols, and budgeting at the venue.

· Ensure all staff follow the approved production plan and budget; collaborate with the Technical Supervisor accurately assess any budgetary overages – always ensuring clear client communication about any changes that arise.

· Proactively work with clients and other vendors to problem solve and come up with solutions on the fly when unforeseen developments arise on-site.

· Ensure all events comply with safety standards, venue policies, and legal regulations.

· Collaborate with Skylight staff to act as a shepherd of the building in working to prevent damages to the building and proactively report damages or misuse of the space.

· Provide quarterly reporting to Concord AV leadership on venue client details, including average budget spend, notable convertible clients and other relevant details.

· Assist in refining Concord AV client standards, pricing structures, and equipment packages.

· Serve as client lead project manager for additional Concord AV venues and jobs as time allows, consult on technical specifications.

· Identify opportunities for additional client upsells, venue efficiency improvements, upgrades, and optimizations, particularly during off-season periods.

· Maintain venue SOPs, client facing documentation and other key production paperwork.

·  Other duties as assigned.
