Conco Construction is seeking an Equipment Field Mechanic to help keep our jobs moving and our crews supported. In this role, you will provide on-site service, repair, and preventative maintenance for a wide range of heavy construction equipment across our projects.

Equipment Field Mechanic Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Diagnose and repair heavy and light construction equipment in the field, including loaders, excavators, skid steers, telehandlers, and trucks
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using proper diagnostic tools
- Communicate effectively with superintendents and shop personnel regarding equipment status and needs
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation of work performed
- Ensure safe work practices and maintain a clean and organized service truck and work area
- Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- CDL preferred but not required
Equipment Field Mechanic Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, field technician, or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics, electrical systems, diesel engines, and welding/fabrication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic software
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or greater occasionally and 25-50 pounds frequently
- Must be able to work outdoors and stand for majority of the day
- Must be able to perform tasks while walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling
Other Considerations:
- All offers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing a background check, drug screen, and physical
- Wages are based on experience and performance
- Must be able to work extended hours and respond to emergency service calls as needed (normal operating hours 7:00 am – 4 pm)
- Company service truck and tools provided for field work
