Concilio is partnering with Bob Madonna (Diversified Services LLC) on a search for an Interim Chief Executive Officer, (CEO) a successful nonprofit in Philadelphia, PA that has been serving the community for over 60 years.
Founded in 1962, The Council of Spanish Speaking Organizations, Inc. (Concilio) is the oldest Latino organization in Philadelphia and has a well-established reputation as a leader in Latino family services. They were founded by a group of Latino leaders concerned with the economic, social, and political issues facing the growing Latino community of the City of Philadelphia. Today, Concilio embodies the same strength and fortitude of their founders, facing somewhat similar issues over a half-century later.
Their mission is providing social, educational, cultural, prevention and intervention services and programs to underserved young people and families in the Philadelphia region.

To serve as a catalyst for maintaining and celebrating the cultural heritages and histories of our diverse Latino communities, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization through a period of transition and organizational strengthening. About the Role
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Interim CEO will provide hands-on leadership to stabilize operations, strengthen internal culture, and position the organization for long-term sustainability. This role requires a leader who can quickly assess organizational needs, make informed and timely decisions, and lead with both urgency and empathy.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead a comprehensive assessment of organizational operations, leadership structure, and performance
· Develop and execute a focused 12-month operational alignment and performance plan
· Provide visible leadership to foster trust, strengthen accountability, and improve team alignment
· Partner with the Executive Team to drive performance and organizational clarity
· Lead financial management efforts in partnership with the CFO, including oversight of budgeting, forecasting, and resource alignment
· Drive revenue growth through active engagement in donor development, funding diversification, and strategic partnerships
· Assess and align leadership structure and team effectiveness to support organizational goals
· Strengthen organizational culture, communication, and employee engagement
· Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors, providing regular updates on performance and progress
· Represent the organization with funders, partners, and community stakeholders
Qualifications
· 10 years of senior executive leadership experience, including CEO, Executive Director, or equivalent roles
· Demonstrated success leading organizations through periods of transition, transformation, or growth
· Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and driving financial sustainability
· Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and make sound, timely decisions
· Experience in nonprofit, community-based, or human services organizations preferred
· Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
