Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures, including collecting vital signs and updating medical histories
- Prepare examination rooms and assist providers during patient examinations and procedures
- Perform clinical tasks such as administering medications, drawing blood, taking X-rays, and assisting with basic life support when needed
- Support hospital medicine, emergency medicine, dermatology, geriatrics, internal medicine, and other specialties by managing patient flow and documentation
- Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems accurately to document patient information, ICD coding, and treatment plans
- Assist with patient education on medications, procedures, and follow-up care to ensure understanding and compliance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to safety protocols
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in hospital or clinic settings, preferably with exposure to emergency medicine or inpatient care
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration
- Proficiency with EHR systems and medical administrative support tasks such as intake processing and vital signs measurement
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent required; additional certifications in EKG operation or OR experience are a plus
- Strong communication skills with a patient service-oriented approach; ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Pay: $35,000.00 - $39,000.00 per year
