The person in this position is responsible for scanning documents into patients charts on a daily basis; opening, closing and maintaining records; ensuring all required documentation is scanned into the electronic health record prior to daily scheduled patient appointments; preparing requests for release of protected health information; maintaining the security of the medical records; must be familiar with HIPPA rules governing the receipt and disclosure of protected health information. Oversees the medical records departments in the absence of the supervisor; general clerical duties and other duties assigned including providing receptionist backup coverage when needed.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE
- Graduation from an accredited high school or G.E.D required.
- Some business or commercial college preferred.
- Considerable knowledge of office practices.
- Knowledge of clerical functions.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring attention to detail;
- Work with special population;
- Type accurately;
- Communicate effectively with professional clinical staff.
- Demonstrated organizational skills;
- Ability to lift up to 44 pounds; and
- Work in a fast-paced environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Texas Driver License required.
- Must not have more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Must be insurable on the Center’s insurance.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to complete all MHMR Concho Valley training.
SHIFT: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
SALARY: $2080.
