Systems Engineer II - Linux focus

Job title: Systems Engineer II - Linux focus 

Location: Miramar, FL or Melbourne, FL (2 days onsite; 3 days remote)

Duration : 6 Months

Notes

· Administer and maintain enterprise Linux servers with a focus on RHEL

· Perform patching, upgrades, system hardening, and OS lifecycle management

· Monitor performance, availability, and capacity across Linux platforms

· Manage security controls including SSH, SELinux, firewalls, PAM, certificates, and access controls

· 5-8 years of enterprise Linux administration experience

· Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) required

· Experience supporting Ubuntu and other Linux distributions

· Linux patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and security hardening

· Experience with VMware and virtualized environments

· Scripting/automation using Bash, Python, Ansible, or similar

Nice to Have

· CIS, STIG, SCAP, NIST compliance experience

· Cloud and hybrid infrastructure experience

· Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity support
