Role Summary

As a Data Scientist in the Real World Data business unit, you will report to the Manager, Data Science in a role that combines technical delivery with people leadership and strategic client support. The Data Science team operates in a cross-functional environment with representatives from other verticals on the Client Services team such as Epidemiology/HEOR, Translational Insights, and Project Management, as well as functions from other teams such as Data Products/Engineering and Customer Success. In this role, you will execute and oversee data analytics for rapid analytics services and data product support using ConcertAI’s industry-leading and cutting-edge healthcare data resources.

In addition to hands-on technical contributions, this individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients—proactively identifying solutions, aligning data use cases with client pipelines, and helping drive product adoption and expansion opportunities. This includes working with ConcertAI’s next-generation AI and SaaS products, in addition to our core RWD offerings, and helping shape the support model for these new products.

Responsibilities

Client Solutions and Strategic Support

  • Advises pharmaceutical partners on the use of CAI data, technology, and analytics to support publications and/or regulatory submissions in an effort to advance their assets in the market
  • Proactively identify opportunities to align ConcertAI capabilities with client priorities and pipeline needs
  • Support cross-functional efforts to scope and deliver new use cases, providing methodological and domain expertise
  • Collaborate with Client Partners to support account expansion and upsell efforts
  • Receives, translate, triage, and answer client business requirements related to CAI data, technology, and analytics.

Technical Execution

  • Write performant SQL (Redshift preferred) for analysis, data validation, and business logic implementation
  • Create reproducible, well-documented code assets in SQL and R or Python
  • Translate complex outputs into actionable client insights, presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences

Product & Internal Collaboration

  • Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering teams based on client usage and needs
  • Help refine support processes and frameworks for new AI/SaaS products
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices across the Data Science team
  • Provides technical voice of client and the technical details of client perspectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Epidemiology) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a data science, analytics, or product-facing role in life sciences, healthcare, or biotech
  • Expertise in SQL (Redshift preferred), with experience in building data models and pipelines
  • Proficiency in R and/or Python for data manipulation and exploratory analysis
  • Proven success in client-facing or consulting roles, ideally in the RWD or RWE space
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and taking initiative to define solutions
