• Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 8am–4pm
• Salary: $40,000 annually

Position Summary: The porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, order, and safety of the facility, including common areas, offices, and individual apartments. This role performs daily cleaning, minor repairs, and exterior maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning of common areas, offices, bathrooms, and apartments, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing.
• Maintain building exteriors, entrances, and walkways; remove debris and snow as needed.
• Restock supplies and ensure cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and shared spaces.
• Conduct apartment turnover and deep cleaning, including carpets, windows, and fixtures.
• Complete minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and air filters.
• Follow safety protocols and proper use of cleaning materials and PPE.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Maintain custodial supply inventory and operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Assist with event setup, furniture arrangements, and cleanup after maintenance or repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum 6 months of custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience (preferred).
• Valid New York State driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning products, procedures, and safety standards.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks involving standing, bending, and carrying equipment.
