Job Title: Client Care Specialist (Part-Time)
Overview:
Concern for Animals (CFA) is seeking a friendly, caring, and organized individual to join our team as a part-time Client Care Specialist (20 hours/week). This role is perfect for someone who loves helping people and pets, enjoys meaningful work, and thrives in a supportive, mission-driven nonprofit environment. You will serve as the first point of contact for community members reaching out for help with their pets — offering guidance, compassion, and connection to resources that keep pets and their people together.
CFA Mission:
To assist members of our communities struggling to care for their pets by providing food, education, and access to veterinary and pet welfare services.
CFA Vision:
Empowering Western Washington communities to care for their pets by providing financial assistance, education, and awareness.
Responsibilities
- Answer client phone calls with professionalism, empathy, and kindness.
- Help determine program eligibility based on client needs and available CFA resources.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and database entries.
- Compile data, summaries, and reports as needed.
- Assist and support phone volunteers as needed.
- Greet and assist visitors, clients, and donors in a warm and welcoming way.
- Complete administrative tasks as assigned by management.
- Help maintain an organized, tidy office.
- Open and/or close the office when scheduled.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient with computers, phones, and commonly used office productivity software.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new software and program tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Genuine empathy and compassion for pet owners and their animals.
- Excellent organization and time management abilities.
- Ability to follow direction and adhere to program guidelines and procedures.
- Veterinary care/office experience a plus.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
