As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will:
- Deliver skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Implement individualized treatment plans to help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
- Accurately document patient treatments and progress.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, nursing staff, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Participate in care planning and discharge planning.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and safety techniques.
- Help create positive patient outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of clinical care.
- Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current Michigan PTA license (or eligible for licensure).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Skilled Nursing Facility or post-acute experience is preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
