We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, maintain accurate inventory, optimize warehouse processes, and supervise a team of warehouse personnel. This role is pivotal in maintaining efficiency, safety, and productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management
- Supervise warehouse staff, including warehouse associates, forklift operators, and other support personnel.
- Assign workloads, delegate tasks, and schedule shift based on operational needs.
- Lead onboarding training, and ongoing development programs for warehouse employees.
- Foster a positive team-oriented work culture, encouraging collaboration.
Inventory & Warehouse Operations
- Oversee receiving, storage, and supplies
- Monitor inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and reconciliation with ERP system
- Ensure proper organization, labeling, and storage of materials to optimize warehouse space.
- Coordinate receiving schedules
- Implement and monitor inventory control procedures, reducing loss and discrepancies.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety standards, ensuring all staff adhere to OSHA and company GMP regulations.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Operational Efficiency & Reporting
- Monitor warehouse KPIs, such as inventory accuracy and production orders delivered on time.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement changes to enhance productivity.
- Prepare detailed reports on warehouse activities, inventory status, and staff performance for management review.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and procurement teams to streamline operations and support manufacturing schedules.
Customer & Internal Collaborations
- Address and resolve customer inquiries related to shipments and inventory.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth flow of materials and products.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, including at least y-2 years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Knowledge of safety regulations, inventory control techniques, and warehouse operational best practices.
- Forklift certification and experience operating various material handling equipment.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50-55 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
