JOB SUMMARY
Concept Components is a precision machining shop with Milling, Turning, and Swiss machine capabilities serving demanding industrial and aerospace customers. We are adding an manufacturing engineer to generate methods, quotes, and CNC programs.
This role is designed for an experienced Machinist, CNC Programmer, or Manufacturing Engineer who is ready to join the leadership of a top shop—someone who earns the team’s respect through competence, solves problems before they stop machines, and does not need to be told what to do next. CNC machining and programming experience is required for this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Drawings, programming, and quoting
— Respond to customer RFQs with accurate and timely pricing and lead time information.
— Produce blueprints and drawings from CAD files giving necessary inspection elements for department leads, operators, and quality team.
— Create new programs using CAM software in MasterCAM or PartMaker.
— Help to program quality inspection equipment for new jobs.
New Job Launch
— Coordinate between machinists, quality, outside processing, and management to ensure new jobs run smoothly and problems are escalated immediately.
— Develop and optimize methods for manufacturing from blueprint and specification fully leveraging the production, assembly, and inspection capability of the facility.
— Produce process documentation such as travelers and work instructions using written and pictographic techniques.
— Resolve production ambiguities before they reach the shop floor.
— Assist with setup and prove-out of new processes on CNC Machines and in assembly.
Quality
— Own rework management: triage customer returns, identify capable machines and available capacity windows, support GM priority decisions.
— Support quality lead to ensure that all programs and methods are signed off properly by internal and external quality control personnel as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
— 5 years of hands-on machining experience with broad manufacturing experience.
— Solid working knowledge of CNC machine principles across turning and milling—able to understand and discuss setups, tooling, and feeds/speeds.
— Experience quoting machining work to including outside processing, assembly, machining, sub-contract work, etc.
— Expert-Level Blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency.
— Demonstrated ability to work with CAD/CAM software.
— Ablity to communicate job requirements clearly and concisely to production staff.
— Organized and process-minded; able to visualize machining processes, suggest improvements, and determine testing methods.
Preferred
— Exposure to Swiss machine operations (Star, Citizen, or equivalent).
— Mazatrol / Mazak experience
— Experience managing rework dispositions and customer return coordination.
— Familiarity with ERP software (JobBOSS, E2, Epicor, or similar).
— Experience in an ISO 9001 or AS9100-certified environment.
