Concept Building is seeking a skilled and motivated carpenter to join our growing team specializing in custom high-end residential construction and renovations throughout the Metro Boston area. We are looking for a well-rounded carpenter who takes pride in craftsmanship, professionalism, attention to detail, and delivering an exceptional client experience.
This position is ideal for a carpenter who is confident working independently, capable of managing a wide range of carpentry tasks from framing through finish work, and interested in long-term growth within a quality-focused construction company.
Responsibilities
- Perform all phases of residential carpentry including:
- Framing and structural carpentry
- Interior and exterior trim installation
- Cabinet and millwork installation
- Window and door installation
- Decks, porches, and exterior details
- Drywall backing and preparation
- Punch list and finishing work
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
- Coordinate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and homeowners
- Identify and solve field challenges proactively
- Ensure work is completed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship
- Assist in mentoring apprentices and maintaining a positive team culture
Qualifications
- 5 years of residential carpentry experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of both rough and finish carpentry
- Experience working on custom or high-end residential homes
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift materials and work in physically demanding environments
- Professional attitude and strong communication skills
- Must pass background check and drug test
Preferred Skills
- Ability to operate common carpentry and woodworking tools safely and efficiently
- Experience with remodeling and occupied residential projects
- Understanding of building practices, layout, and sequencing
- OSHA certification a plus
