Duties
- Manage property damage claims from initial report through resolution, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
- Conduct thorough analysis of claims using estimating software such as Xactimate or similar tools to determine accurate damages and repair costs.
- Negotiate claim settlements effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to reach fair and equitable outcomes.
- Detect and prevent potential fraud by analyzing claim patterns and suspicious activities with advanced fraud prevention techniques.
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters, legal teams, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with property insurance law and casualty insurance practices.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and financial software to document case progress, prepare reports, and maintain detailed records of all claim activities.
- Stay informed on industry updates related to workers' compensation law, insurance regulation, liability insurance claims processing, and regulatory compliance in claims processing.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property insurance claims processing, casualty insurance adjusting, or related fields with a strong understanding of property damage assessment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of insurance law, workers' compensation law, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Xactimate or comparable tools for accurate damage assessment.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent customer service abilities to handle sensitive claim discussions professionally.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data, identify discrepancies, and make informed decisions swiftly.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and financial or claims management software.
- Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
