Concentric Corporation is partnering with an organization in Omaha, NE to identify an Enterprise Architect – Workday to support and evolve core business systems. This role is fully onsite in Omaha and plays a key part in guiding application architecture, data strategy, and development standards across the organization.
This position blends hands-on technical work with leadership, governance, and collaboration. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning complex systems, mentoring developers, and driving improvements across applications, data platforms, and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the evaluation, design, and evolution of enterprise application architecture with a focus on Workday and related platforms
Establish and maintain technical standards for system reliability, security, change management, and development quality
Provide architectural guidance to development and analytics teams to ensure solutions align with business and technical goals
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into scalable system designs and roadmaps
Support and enhance enterprise data platforms including data integration, reporting, and analytics solutions
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and performance across enterprise systems
Participate in hands-on system work including enhancements, refactoring, integrations, migrations, testing, and deployments
Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and technologies to support long-term system strategy
Develop and maintain technical documentation, system processes, and audit support materials
Troubleshoot system issues, document resolutions, and escalate enhancement or resource requests as needed
Participate in Agile delivery practices, code reviews, and version control standards
Provide on-call or off-hours support as required for system stability and critical initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field
Seven or more years of experience in enterprise application architecture, systems engineering, or data platforms
Demonstrated experience designing, supporting, and evolving data warehouse environments
Experience creating metadata, developing ETL processes, and performing data cleansing
Strong SQL expertise and experience working with relational databases
Experience with APIs, modern application architectures, and integration patterns
Familiarity with Agile development frameworks and collaborative delivery models
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Comfort working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Willingness to work onsite in Omaha, Nebraska
Experience with Workday Finance, HCM, Payroll, or analytics platforms strongly preferred
