We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead process optimization and drive operational excellence within our manufacturing work cells. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality production outcomes, advancing continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting cross-functional collaboration to enhance manufacturing performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and coordinate all process activities to ensure optimal product quality within the assigned work cell.
- Develop comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including routers, Technical Support Documents (TSDs), and standard work instructions.
- Design and implement tooling solutions that support production efficiency and product consistency.
- Create and refine cell layouts to improve flow, safety, and productivity.
- Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing, planning, and other internal partners to maintain product quality and process alignment.
- Investigate internal and external quality issues; lead cross-functional problem-solving teams to identify root causes and implement robust, permanent corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement through effective monitoring and enhancement of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Apply CBS (Crosby, or your organization’s continuous improvement system) tools to support ongoing operational excellence initiatives.
- Support the training and development of team members involved in process implementation and sustainment.
- Identify and implement innovative process controls to enhance product quality and reduce variation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial).
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a high mix low volume manufacturing environment.
- Proficient using Office365 applications.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
- Functional knowledge of tool design using Solid Works a plus.
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and applying structured problem-solving tools preferred.
