Production Operator

Conagra Brands is looking for Production Operator to join our growing team You will operate and monitor the packaging machines on the production lines and perform periodic checks to ensure quality standards and trouble shoot light mechanical problems. You will work onsite at our plant in Rensselaer, Indiana and report to a Team Lead. Known as "The Popcorn Plant", our Rensselaer Plant produces Orville Redenbacher Popcorn and Act II Popcorn for consumers across the world

Starting Pay: $22.00/hour

Schedule:

3-2-2 schedule | 12 hour shifts 7-7 | Rotate days to nights every 4 months

Location: Located at 750 E Drexel Pkwy, Rensselaer, IN 47978.

Essential Functions:

·       Operate and stock packaging machines.

·       Verify manufacturing process and quality standards

·       Trouble shoot packaging machine problems.

·       Maintain required production and quality documentation.

·       Complies with safety rules and regulations

·       Cooperates / assists co-workers as required.

Education and Experience:

·       High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

· year of experience in a manufacturing facility

Qualifications:

·       Basic to moderate computer and iPad skills.

·       Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

·       Basic mathematical skills such as measuring, averaging, and ranges

·       Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment Requirements:

·       You will work in a manufacturing environment with varying conditions including noise, hot, cold, and dust.
