Con-v-air is a company operating in the manufacturing sector whose mission is to provide systems for the storage and handling of solid bulk materials in industries with the highest requirements for quality, performance, and complexity. We serve the chemical, mining, food, pharmaceutical, water treatment, manufacturing, and pulp and paper industries. We are vertically integrated, which allows us to carry out project engineering as well as fabrication and finishing in-house at our own facilities located in Sainte-Julie on Montréal’s South Shore and in Somerset, Ohio. Our product offering includes systems and equipment such as bulk bag unloading stations, pneumatic conveying systems, storage silos, chemical injection systems, and screw conveyors.
Job Summary
The Site Engineer supervises, coordinates, and controls all operations and material supply. They ensure the technical compliance, quality, safety, and timely execution of all work performed. They act as the interface between production teams, subcontractors, the engineering office, and project management.
Task List
- Develop execution schedules and organize materials.
- Participate in preparation and coordination meetings.
- Supervise fabrication, assembly, and welding activities on site.
- Coordinate subcontractors and resolve daily technical issues.
- Verify the compliance of materials and assemblies.
- Draft and update non-conformity reports and corrective actions.
- Propose improvements to reduce risks and optimize work methods.
- Prepare progress reports, technical files, and project close-out documentation.
- Communicate regularly with the project manager, engineering office, and clients.
- Participate in progress meetings and manage technical modifications.
- Perform factory performance tests.
- Participate in system commissioning at client sites.
Required Skills Technical
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO).
- Advanced ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Basic knowledge of project management and site coordination.

Education and Experience
- Engineering degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering.
- 0 to 10 years of experience on industrial sites (metal construction, equipment manufacturing, etc.).
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
