Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our construction and heavy machinery team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of construction and industrial equipment, ensuring safe and efficient project completion. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects utilizing heavy machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, and trucks. Candidates with construction site experience and mechanical knowledge are highly preferred.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other heavy equipment to perform various construction tasks
- Drive and operate commercial vehicles such as dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks for material transport
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency
- Assist in site preparation, grading, excavation, and material movement across construction sites
- Follow safety protocols and communicate effectively with team members to maintain a secure work environment
- Complete documentation related to equipment usage and maintenance logs
Skills
- Proven experience with heavy equipment operation including dozer, loader, backhoe, excavator, crane, and front loader truck
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
- Construction site experience is highly desirable
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles such as dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tankers
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is a plus
- Knowledge of farm machinery or tanker operations is advantageous
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred or required depending on the role
- Strong understanding of safety procedures in construction environments
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and adhere to project timelines
This position is essential for supporting large-scale construction projects with reliable operation of heavy machinery. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
