Overview
The Sr. Analyst is responsible for: maintaining and analyzing all Gas Transmission Integrity Management (TIMP) data and records to develop trends to mitigate risks to the gas transmission system; maintaining and operating the TIMP specific risk model; creating, maintaining and analyzing gas transmission integrity performance measures (TIMP program, preventative and mitigative measures, etc.); participating in process improvements and other special projects to reduce risks to the gas transmission system; and compiling information/reports to assure strict compliance with Regulatory requirements. The Sr. Analyst will apply knowledge of inspection and mapping products (ex: Gas Central, ESRI ArcMap, eGIS), preventative and mitigative measure related data, various engineering records, and engineering principals to answer inquires and help make sound business decisions. Additionally, the Sr. Analyst will perform geospatial queries using both out of the box Geographic Information Systems (GIS) products such as ESRI ArcMap and other company developed GIS applications. The Sr. Analysts role will enhance the companys Transmission Integrity Management program by providing analytics and information that allow sound decisions to be made in regard to process improvements, risk mitigation and overall Transmission system integrity.

- Plan, manage and implement Gas Engineering's Integrity Management programs. This includes working with a software vendor to design and implement a risk prioritization model. Manage connections to various internal data programs that interact with the risk model.
- Identify opportunities to implement risk mitigating actions through data analytics, new technology, and benchmarking.
- Perform geospatial queries using both out of the box Geographic Information Systems (GIS) products such as ESRI ArcMap and other company developed GIS applications.
- Support the department with accessing data for custom and ad-hoc reporting, and will help analyze gas system performance through data analytics and trending.
- Prepare engineering analysis and present to all levels of the organization.
- Maintain and analyze all Gas Transmission Integrity Management (TIMP) data and records to develop trends to mitigate risks to the gas transmission system.
- Utilize prioritization software and various data sets to recommend modifications and improve gas system performance.
- Maintain and analyze gas transmission integrity performance measures (TIMP program, preventative and mitigative measures, etc.).
- Participate in process improvements and other special projects to reduce risks to the gas transmission system.
- Maintain and utilize the TIMP Risk Model to interpret system risk.
- Compile information and produce reports to assure strict compliance with Regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and continuously improve routine data reporting mechanisms for various organizations.
- Review tracking and traceability data to ensure accuracy.
- Collect, analyze, and prepare information for submittal to the PSC, NYC OEM, FDNY, Municipalities, etc. regarding engineering studies performed and requested.
- Developing a proactive, customer-centric culture to foster trust and confidence of our customers and improve value for all our stakeholders.
- Create and modify reports and data integrity methods to enhance TIMP.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years relevant work experience
- Bachelor's Degree Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Engineering, or Business
- Proficient in use of Geographical Information System (GIS) Applications. Required and
- Experience in statistical data trending and/or data analysis. Required and
- Gas / Electric / Steam Operations, Engineering or Construction experience. Preferred and
- Knowledge of Gas Operations - Gas Inspection System web portal. Preferred and
- Demonstrated analytical skills and
- Excellent collaboration and team building skills and
- Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and
- Possesses strong technical aptitude
- Driver's License Required
- Must sit or stand to answer a phone for entire shift
- Must sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift
- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
Salary : $95,000 - $130,000
