Mexican-Inspired Coffee Franchise | New Store Opening
We are excited to announce the opening of our new Mexican-inspired coffee franchise in Canoga Park and are looking for an experienced, passionate Community Café Manager to lead our team and help build a welcoming, culture-driven café from day one.
Position Overview
The Community Café Manager is responsible for overseeing daily café operations while fostering a warm, community-focused environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who values hospitality, culture, and team development, and who takes pride in creating meaningful guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Hire, train, schedule, and lead baristas and shift leads
- Deliver exceptional customer service and handle guest concerns with care
- Maintain product quality, cleanliness, and brand standards
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
- Oversee cash handling, Toast POS systems, and daily sales reporting
- Monitor labor, sales goals, and cost controls
- Lead by example on the floor during peak hours
- Support local marketing efforts, events, and community engagement
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a café, coffee shop, or restaurant manager (required)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required or strongly preferred)
- Experience using the Toast POS platform (required or strongly preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Knowledge of coffee, espresso beverages, and café operations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with scheduling, inventory, and cost control
- Customer-focused, organized, and detail-oriented
- Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in a franchise environment is a plus
