What are the responsibilities and job description for the Peer Bridger/Mentor position at Comunilife?
Comunilife is looking for an experienced Peer Counselor/Mentor/Bridger to provide support to the clients. Help us provide much needed support to marginalized individuals in communities that are undeserved. The positions are part time from 15 to 20 hours a week and located in Queens and the Bronx. The salary is upto $15.75 an hour.
Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED, bilingual (Spanish) preferred. Familiarity with supportive housing and/or homelessness a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with in-reach to and engagement of residents
- Provide supportive contacts related to client concerns.
- Help explain the benefits of following service plan.
- Accompany residents on appointments as needed.
- Help residents learn about natural community supports and resources.
- Participate in support planning when appropriate.
