Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Set Up professional to join our manufacturing team. This role involves setting up, programming, and operating various CNC machines to produce high-precision components. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with CNC equipment, blueprint reading, and manufacturing processes, ensuring quality and efficiency in production. This position will be on 2nd shift. Hours are 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday plus any overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings and other written procedures to accurately produce product.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and perform materials handling tasks within the manufacturing facility.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in CNC programming, setup, and operation within a manufacturing environment.
- Understand the basics of program editing (for tool wear).
- Math skills
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
