Title: SAP Payroll Consultant
Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid 3 days a week onsite)
Job Description:
The SAP Payroll Consultant is responsible for analyzing HR and payroll business requirements and delivering effective SAP HCM solutions. The role includes configuration and support of key SAP HCM modules Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), and Payroll while leveraging Microsoft Access for HR/payroll data analysis, reporting, validation, and reconciliation to ensure accurate payroll processing and statutory compliance. The consultant collaborates with HR stakeholders to design and implement end-to-end HR solutions across compensation, benefits, payroll, reporting, and statutory compliance. Core responsibilities include system configuration, integration with SAP and third-party HR systems, data analysis using MS Access, comprehensive testing, user training, and post-implementation support.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience as an SAP Payroll/HR Consultant.
- Deep knowledge of SAP Payroll configuration, schemas, and payroll rules.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Access, including database design, queries, forms, reports, data import/export, and data analysis.
- Experience using MS Access for payroll reconciliation, HR reporting, data validation, and audit support.
- Strong understanding of HR and payroll processes, tax regulations, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency with Payroll Control Center (PCC), wage types, and PCRs.
- Experience across the full SAP Payroll/HCM implementation lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with HR, Payroll, IT, and business teams.
