Job Title: IT Procurement Analyst
Location: Bethpage, NY
Work Model: Hybrid (Primarily Remote; in-office 1 day/week)
Job Summary:
· This role is responsible to plan, analyze, and manage capital procurement activities while ensuring compliance with contractual, financial, and strategic sourcing objectives. This position supports the development, negotiation, and implementation of major contracts aligned with category strategies and organizational goals. Also supports emergent project requirements, monitors supplier performance, and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and technology suppliers to ensure all contractual commitments including pricing, warranties, and service-level agreements are met and maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage IT and telecommunications procurement projects, including SaaS and software contracts.
- Lead contract negotiations with vendors, service providers, and technology partners.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of critical materials and services during normal operations and outage scenarios.
- Oversee day-to-day contract administration, including:
- Change orders, claims, and back charges
- Warranty claims and dispute resolution
- Monitoring contractor and vendor performance
- Establish and maintain processes to protect the company’s contractual rights and obligations.
- Develop effective and commercially sound contracting strategies for new and ongoing IT initiatives.
- Partner with internal teams to evaluate vendors through RFPs, RFQs, and other sourcing methodologies.
- Provide contract management and procurement support across the IT organization.
- Engage, hire, and manage external contract professionals or consultants as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience sourcing and managing large capital procurement projects, preferably within IT or technology domains.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentations.
- Experience working with SAP or Ariba or similar ERP systems.
- Solid understanding of project management principles, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination.
- Proven negotiation skills with vendors and service providers.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
- Supplier diversity experience and/or certification (e.g., CPSD)
- Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement experience
- Project management experience and/or certification (e.g., PMP)
- Demonstrated ability to assess contractual risk and implement effective risk mitigation strategies
