POSITION: Elementary Music Teacher - Comstock Elementary School
SALARY:
Dependent on years of teaching experience and certification
Salary starting at $43,044
WILL HONOR 100% OF PRIOR FULL-TIME TEACHING YEARS
Eligible school for Teacher Loan Forgiveness
Merit Pay, Sick Day Buyback Program, and Tuition Reimbursement per CEA Contract

CERTIFICATION:
Valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate
Music Education (JX or JQ) Endorsement
QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated skills in teaching Music Education to Kindergarten - 5th grade students
Experience or training in keyboarding and vocal music
Ability to work with elementary-age students
Skilled at utilizing current and best practice teaching methodologies to deliver instruction
Experience with addressing the needs of students of all ability levels
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach music education classes for grades Kindergarten – 5th grade
Teach the approved curriculum
Provide structured classroom management as described in "Essential Job Functions"
Participate in curriculum, school improvement and staff committees
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
Participate in the school improvement process
Instructional planning consistent with essential job functions and curriculum
Collaborate with teachers to promote student achievement
Grow professionally in the areas of change
Willing to be trained in Leader in Me building-wide initiative
Work with Leader in Me school administrators, leadership teams, and staff to ensure “Lighthouse” results
Participate in building and district committees
Champion and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
Other duties as assigned by administration
