Position Summary
This role is within the Product Transfer team. The role contributes to the delivery of high impact, cost transformative projects. The role will require the successful candidate to operate across a network of stakeholders from Product Transfer, Operations and Divisional partners, therefore strong interpersonal skills and communication skills will be necessary. This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision.
What you will do:
· Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously
· Prioritize tasks and assign team members to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met
· Evaluate and escalate changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project.
· Lead engineering projects across multiple sites.
· Monitor progress and performance against the project plan
· Identify and resolve operational problems to minimize delays
· Work collaboratively with counterpart project manager at site in Tijuana, Mexico
· Manage ongoing relationship and effective communication with key project stakeholders.
What you will need:
· Bachelors degree with 5 or more years’ experience managing engineering projects in a manufacturing environment
· Proven track record of working in a team-based environment.
· Excellent Interpersonal Skills - able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
· Effectively communicate project risks and manage expectations across different functional groups
· Innovative thinker - should be able to envision new and better ways of doing things.
· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Project (be able to build a schedule and manage critical path)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired):
· PMP certification
· Engineering background or degree
· Experience in an FDA regulated or regulated industry
