OverviewCTG is seeking to fill an Epic Kaleidoscope Analyst position for our client in Chicago, IL.Duration: 6 monthsDuties:Serve as the subject-matter expert for Epic Kaleidoscope within ophthalmology/optometry service lines, supporting the organization’s Epic Refuel initiative.Design, build, configure, and optimize Epic Kaleidoscope components, including eye exam documentation, diagnostic testing configuration (visual fields, OCT, fundus imaging, biometry, etc.), procedure workflows, SmartForms/SmartTools, documentation templates, workqueue logic, and clinical decision support.Maintain integrations between Kaleidoscope and ophthalmic imaging devices/systems such as Zeiss Forum, Heidelberg, Optos, and Topcon.Conduct workflow analysis to identify inefficiencies, reduce clinician burden, and develop standardized, streamlined processes across eye care clinics.Partner with physicians, technicians, imaging specialists, schedulers, and operational leaders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Support related ambulatory workflows across modules such as Ambulatory, Cadence, Care Everywhere, Orders, and Radiant/Imaging integrations.Develop and execute test plans for upgrades, new build, and optimizations; troubleshoot issues and perform root-cause analysis.Create and maintain documentation, job aids, training materials, and testing artifacts.Participate in governance, Refuel prioritization groups, and multidisciplinary design sessions to ensure build consistency and sustainability.Skills:Epic Kaleidoscope expertise with strong technical proficiency in build and optimization.Strong analytic, problem-solving, and workflow engineering skills.Ability to interpret clinical requirements and translate them into system configuration.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with clinicians, operations, and technical teams.High attention to detail and adaptability in a rapid, improvement-focused environment.Experience:Required:Epic Kaleidoscope Certification.4 years of Epic build, optimization, or support experience, preferably in ambulatory or specialty clinic settings.Understanding of ophthalmology, optometry, imaging, or diagnostic workflow processes.Preferred:Experience participating in EHR optimization programs (e.g., Refuel, efficiency initiatives, workflow redesign).Knowledge of integrated Epic modules such as Ambulatory, Cadence, Orders, Radiant, and device interfaces.Experience supporting ophthalmology service lines, imaging departments, or specialty clinics.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Informatics, or related field preferred.Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.CTG does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services for this role.To Apply:To be considered, please apply directly to this requisition using the link provided.
