Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Healthcare Program Adjunct Instructor located at our Chicago Campus. The Healthcare Program Adjunct Instructor will be responsible for planning and delivering educational content, assessing student performance, and providing academic support to enhance student learning. Additional responsibilities include preparing course materials, maintaining accurate records, participating in faculty meetings, and contributing to curriculum development.

General Summary:
The Healthcare Career Program, Clinical Track Instructor will teach the following courses:
- Professional Development
- Customer Service
- Medical Administrative Procedures
- Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology
- Foundations of Clinical Procedures
- Lab Procedures and Phlebotomy
- Advanced Clinical Procedures
- Medical Law, Ethics, and Patient Relations
- Medical Billing and Coding
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Teach up to 27.5 hours week.
- Prepare lesson plans for each class session.
- Deliver lectures and facilitate Project-Based Learning (PBL).
- Assist students in the learning process.
- Evaluate and monitor student progress through the use of various assessment tools.
- Keep necessary records to report Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) to the Academic Dean.
- Attend and participate in quarterly campus-wide instructor in-service meetings as required. Stay well-informed about the advancements in teaching by attending professional development activities outside of CSI.
- Prepare students for real-world job skills and certifications (when applicable).
- Actively contribute to program improvement through the use of committee involvement.
- Provide support through academic advising to ensure student growth and retention.
- Additional tasks as needed.
Education and Experience:
- BS degree in healthcare or a related field
- 2 years of recent clinical or medical assisting experience.
- Preferred healthcare industry certification in either CEHRS, CBCS, CCA, BLS, CPT, CET, CCMA or RMA
