Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Production Technician to join our Production Team. This role is responsible for assembling, disassembling, hydrostatic testing, and performance testing of pumps, as well as diagnosing and repairing service jobs. Additional responsibilities include inventory management, parts preparation, painting, and packaging for shipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assemble pumps and parts orders accurately.
- Disassemble and repair pumps and diagnose service issues.
- Conduct hydrostatic and performance testing on pumps.
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming inventory items.
- Pull and assemble parts for orders.
- Prep and paint pumps and parts as per specifications.
- Package and prepare pump and parts orders for shipment.
- Maintain adherence to all company safety practices and operational processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in using hand tools and reading diagrams/blueprints (manufacturing plant or carpentry experience preferred).
- Basic computer skills for documentation and inventory purposes.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and support various areas of the production shop.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred Skills:
- At least two (2) years of mechanical assembly experience.
- Knowledge of rotating equipment highly preferred.
- Forklift and/or crane operation experience preferred.
Certifications:
[Optional: Forklift Certification or Crane Operator Certification is a plus.]
