Operations Specialist

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented Operation Specialist to join our ISG Product Operations team. This role partners closely with Shared Services, Banking Operations, Branch Operations, and Operations Risk & Control to deliver a connected “front-to-back” view of operations supporting ISG Sales and Trading. Based in Baltimore, this position provides real-world experience in a fast-paced environment, interfacing directly with global derivatives exchanges and equity markets while focusing on risk management, trade support, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform daily trade support functions for futures and options across North American and European markets.
• Resolve client, exchange, and risk trade breaks.
• Manage trade allocations for Institutional and Wealth Management clients.
• Investigate and resolve clearing exceptions and develop trade flow solutions.
• Facilitate exchange trade entry and ensure accuracy of trade processing.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct root cause analysis to resolve client issues and mitigate risk.
• Actively participate in team meetings, raising issues and offering solutions.
• Collaborate with team members to refine controls and reduce operational risk.
• Build and manage stakeholder relationships across silos.
• Acquire and demonstrate deep knowledge of assigned products and functional areas.
• Establish clear goals and priorities to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong networks.
• Flexibility and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of financial concepts and markets.
• Experience with listed derivatives.
• Background in corporate business environments.
• Clearance, settlement, or reconciliation experience.
• Self-motivated with a strong appetite to learn and train others.
• Demonstrated commitment to risk management and process improvement.

Certifications
• No formal certifications required; financial operations or risk management certifications are a plus.
