Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role requires mechanical expertise, basic electrical knowledge, and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the Preventive Maintenance program.
- Clean, inspect, and document equipment conditions.
- Verify worn components at key locations according to checklist.
- Maintain accurate records using a tablet.
Perform tasks such as:
- Cleaning and inspecting production equipment.
- Verifying and replenishing oil levels.
- Cleaning and lubricating chains.
- Replacing broken air lines.
- Identifying and cleaning oil leaks.
- Replacing grease lines and greasing bearings.
- Changing oil filters, air filters, and belts.
- Removing and reinstalling guards for inspections.
- Creating work orders (WO’s) for identified issues.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical training or equivalent experience.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Safety training, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical training or certification is a plus.
Certifications
- LOTO training or certification required.
- Must adhere to PPE requirements: steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
