Logistics Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY
This role is responsible for the efficient tendering of loads to carriers using the Transportation Management System (TMS) to ensure customer requested ship dates are met. The position involves daily routing of orders in compliance with the transportation route guide, securing carrier capacity, and tracking carrier performance. A key aspect of this role is troubleshooting any loads at risk of missing requested arrival dates. The role also requires ensuring new orders adhere to weight and shipment method guidelines, scheduling appointments in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) by coordinating with third-party facility managers on dock capacity, and managing trailer pools with drop carriers. Collaboration with Customer Account Specialists (CAS) for scheduling issues and maintaining reason code input in WMS for open order status reporting are also essential duties. Finally, the role includes reviewing the previous day's dock schedule to confirm all orders have shipped.

Key Responsibilities
* Tender loads to carriers utilizing the TMS tool to ensure customer requested ship dates (RSD/RAD/SAT) are met.
* Route orders daily in compliance with the transportation route guide, ensuring timely execution to meet the requested ship date and secure carrier capacity.
* Operate the Transportation Management System (TMS) to route orders, track carrier performance, and troubleshoot loads potentially missing the requested arrival date.
* Ensure all new orders comply with guidelines on weight and method of shipment.
* Schedule appointments in WMS for all loads, working with the third-party facility manager on dock capacity scheduling.
* Work with drop carriers to maintain the trailer pool.
* Work with Customer Account Specialists (CAS) on scheduling issues.
* Maintain reason code input within WMS for open order status reporting.
* Review the previous day's dock schedule to ensure all orders shipped.

Required Qualifications
* Experience operating the Transportation Management System (TMS).
* Experience operating the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
* Experience working with drop carriers.
* Experience working with third-party facility managers.
* Experience working with Customer Account Specialists (CAS).

Education: High School or equivalent
