JOB SUMMARY
The Industrial Mechanical Technician II is responsible for providing technical support across all departments on site, ensuring safe and reliable operation of equipment, installations, and buildings. This role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and supporting installation of new equipment while following QHSE guidelines. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently or collaboratively with the maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for all departments on site, performing duties throughout the facility to ensure safe and reliable equipment, installations, and buildings.
- Assist in areas outside normal duties, such as Project Management and working with third-party contractors.
- Support installation of new equipment following QHSE guidelines.
- Respond to equipment failures or breakdowns and provide first-line technical support.
- Provide expertise and training on maintenance activities to team members.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to efficiently complete work orders.
- Perform electrical and plumbing maintenance, including replacement or repair of fixtures.
- Conduct mechanical maintenance, including troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in production machines.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test equipment, and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and production equipment.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Respond to emergency situations during and after hours as needed.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- 3 to 5 years of maintenance experience.
- Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance strategies and methodologies.
- Experience in maintaining and repairing buildings, industrial equipment, and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of general industry safety requirements.
- Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
