About the Role
As a Release Manager, you will oversee and coordinate all software releases for Labs, including releases for autonomous delivery robots operating on public roads. You will ensure releases are planned, tested, documented, and deployed successfully while coordinating across multiple technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate multiple software releases at the same time, including releases for autonomous delivery robots.
- Plan, track, and communicate release schedules, milestones, and deployment activities.
- Work closely with engineering teams across software, firmware, hardware, AI, DevOps, and operations to ensure successful releases.
- Coordinate release readiness, testing, approvals, and deployment processes.
- Monitor release progress, identify risks, and resolve issues that could impact delivery timelines.
- Maintain release documentation and project tracking using Jira and Confluence.
- Collaborate with teams located in California and Arizona to support release planning and execution.
- Ensure software releases meet quality, safety, and operational requirements, especially for autonomous vehicle deployments.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of Release Management experience.
Experience managing releases that involve a combination of:
- Software
- Firmware
- Hardware
Experience in industries such as:
- Autonomous vehicles
- Robotics
- Automotive technology
- Embedded systems
- Other complex engineering environments
- Strong knowledge of Git for version control and release tracking.
- Strong experience using Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
