Job Overview
We are seeking highly skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive patient care across multiple departments within our healthcare facility. These dynamic roles requires a versatile professional capable of managing diverse clinical responsibilities, including acute and chronic care, specialized treatments, and patient assessments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in various medical procedures, EMR systems, and possess a broad knowledge base that encompasses critical care, outpatient services, geriatrics, pediatrics, and behavioral health. Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed history-taking to inform clinical decision-making.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols, including IV infusions and aseptic techniques.
- Manage complex care procedures such as catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, ventilator management, and ostomy care.
- Coordinate diagnostic evaluations involving laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpretation of results.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient information meticulously and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide specialized care in areas such as ICU, emergency room, trauma medicine, cardiac catheterization labs, dialysis units, and post-acute settings.
- Implement infection control standards and maintain sterile processing protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Engage in patient education initiatives focusing on health coaching, medication management, discharge planning, and chronic disease management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans aligned with NCQA standards and ICD coding requirements for accurate documentation.
- Assist with triage duties in urgent care or outpatient settings to prioritize patient needs efficiently.
Experience
- Valid RN license with current licensure in the applicable state.
- Demonstrated experience working across multiple healthcare environments including hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, ambulatory facilities.
- Proven proficiency in Epic or Cerner EMR/EHR systems.
- Critical care experience preferred; including Emergency Room, ICU or Trauma Center exposure.
- Familiarity with advanced procedures such as cardiology catheterization, sonography, gastroscopy (Gastric lavage), or spinal taps is advantageous.
- Background in infectious disease care, trauma medicine, behavioral health support, or geriatrics enhances suitability for this role.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology coupled with excellent patient assessment skills.
