Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Phlebotomist for a contract position. The ideal candidate will have experience drawing blood from patients of all ages and must be flexible with scheduling to support varying shift needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform venous access procedures on infants, pediatric, and adult patients using standard needle and syringe or multi-tube needle holder
• Perform capillary access procedures on all age groups for direct testing or collection into tubes
• Draw blood samples across all age ranges including infants, children, and adults
• Ensure all specimens meet required criteria including correct collection tubes, sufficient volume, and appropriate handling for each test
• Maintain appropriate dilution factors for anticoagulated specimens
• Understand and apply proper specimen handling techniques
• Accurately verify patient identification before procedures
• Maintain stock of phlebotomy supplies and report inventory needs
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of recent phlebotomy experience
• Experience with venipuncture and capillary blood collection on all age groups
Certifications:
• Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy training program
• Phlebotomy Certification (national or state-level, if required by jurisdiction)
